The Watermark Team

Michael Reardon is the president and owner of Watermark Yacht Consulting.

As a former Naval Architect, boat builder and yacht captain for many years, Michael joined Bob Saxon Associates as fleet manager.  In 1994 Michael moved to Fraser Yachts where he started their Florida yacht services operations and soon thereafter became an equity partner.  During the bulk of his tenure he was responsible for all aspects of the international yacht services division, directing a team of over 30 professionals dedicated to yacht management, charter and crew placement.  The fleet of yachts grew from zero to over 80 yachts in the charter and management departments.  His last position at Fraser was manager of sales and marketing, supervising 28 brokers worldwide.  Reardon then joined Merrill-Stevens Dry Dock Company, a landmark shipyard in Miami, Florida and led their expanding operations into the yacht services arena.

Michael has regularly appeared on the Travel Channel’s airing of “In Search of Million Dollar Yachts,” interviewed as an industry expert to help explain why people buy yachts.  His industry contributions have included emceeing the Superyacht Society “Crew Training Seminars” for eight years, making regular speaking engagements and being a founding member of the Mediterranean Yacht Broker’s Association (MYBA) Yacht Management committee.  Michael has also been involved in the construction and management of such famous yachts as Octopus (425ft/130m), Tatoosh (300ft/91.5m), Skat (233ft/71m), Meduse (200ft/61m), Perseus (164ft/50m) and CV-9 (130ft/40m).

Michael also volunteers as a board member of United Cerebral Palsy of South Florida and Friends Across the Water, a non-denominational missions outreach.

Cristina Addison grew up in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay.  Her childhood consisted of summers on the beach in Punta del Este and winter holidays on the family ranch.  At age 17 her diplomat father was posted to Switzerland where she had the opportunity to travel around Europe for 3 years.  In 1979, Cristina got a taste of yachting by crewing on a Nicholson 55, Dabulamanzi doing a delivery from Brazil to the Caribbean.  Two years later she met her husband Pete, a seasoned Whitbread (Around The World Race) sailor.  Together they sailed on their yacht, raced and chartered the dream panacea for avoiding the nine-to-five routine.

In 1999, due to the growing volatile political situation, Cristina moved to the US and within 2-weeks was hired by Michael Reardon as his executive assistant.  At first the main concentration was learning the management fleet, which at the time was growing quickly.  In those days, in the quaint office on the east side of the 17th Street Causeway, Cristina established herself within the industry as a capable and congenial organizer, assisting anyone from captains and crew, to major events planning, along with keeping Michael sorted out with his growing responsibilities.

Cristina worked as front person for Fraser Yachts, Yacht Management department in Fort Lauderdale.  With elegance and warmth she was instrumental as a leader within the management team.  The fleet grew from 6 or 7 yachts to almost 20, including the launching of Octopus.  Through those years the company grew to become one of the 3 largest yacht management companies and became one of the first companies certified by the Cayman Islands with an ISM certificate.  Cristina has a certification as an ISM auditor.
